Anatomy of a Conference Banner

People frequently ask where I get my ideas from, and the answer is (or should be) from my client. Working and reworking an idea until the grahics do what they are supposed to do (not look like they are supposed to look) is a luxury we don't get with many projects--as with this one, where we were on a tight budget and deadline to get it to the conference before attendees. We did it, and had some fun exploring along the way. It was a stretch for me to have a GMHCN thing printed without any color, but it was a good experience learning how the different versions meant and mattered to different people in the organization. And while it is a bit of a committee camel, I've seen (and been responsible) for worse.
